This low-barrier emergency shelter provides overnight accommodation for individuals experiencing homelessness. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis with mat-based sleeping arrangements in a communal space. The program follows a harm reduction and trauma-informed approach, offering safety, warmth, and dignity without judgment or unnecessary requirements.

This abstinence-seeking, participant-centered recovery initiative creates a supportive environment where individuals can work toward personal goals, develop life skills, and build a foundation for long-term stability.
Events & Class Support
Assist with planning and hosting events or classes that enrich participants’ lives.
Purpose: Help create welcoming, engaging experiences for participants.
What You Will Do: Set up event spaces, greet participants, provide support during classes or activities, assist with cleanup.
Time Commitment: Flexible, based on scheduled events.
Skills Needed: Organization, friendliness, ability to follow instructions.
Requirements: Orientation and adherence to program guidelines.
Workshop Leader
Facilitate educational or skill-building workshops for participants.
Purpose: Lead workshops that teach valuable skills and encourage growth.
What You Will Do: Prepare materials, lead sessions, encourage participation, maintain a positive environment.
Time Commitment: Typically 1–2 hours per workshop.
Skills Needed: Teaching ability, communication, patience.
Requirements: Orientation and subject matter expertise.
Life Skills Instructor
Equip participants with practical skills for daily living and independence.
Purpose: Teach essential life skills to support long-term stability.
What You Will Do: Lead sessions on budgeting, cooking, job readiness, and more; provide hands-on guidance.
Time Commitment: Weekly or bi-weekly sessions.
Skills Needed: Knowledge of life skills, empathy, clear communication.
Requirements: Orientation and relevant experience.
Recreation Leader
Promote healthy recreation and social engagement.
Purpose: Organize activities that foster community and well-being.
What You Will Do: Plan games, arts, or fitness activities; encourage participation; ensure safety.
Time Commitment: Flexible, based on activity schedule.
Skills Needed: Creativity, energy, ability to engage groups.
