Modbury Hospital Day Procedure Unit
The purpose of the Day Procedure Unit volunteer program at Modbury Hospital is to work in partnership with paid staff of the Department, to enhance the quality of the Day Procedure Experience for patients.
This role also will incorporate the ward One East from time to time. This ward is mainly for patients who attend hospital for a day procedure but are required to stay in Hospital overnight.
Volunteer Duties in the day Procedure Unit
- Make Tea or coffee for Post Op Patients once they are in the recliners.
- Talking with Pre-Op patients once they are in the recliners.
- Working with the ward clerks to help direct patients.
- Being aware of all OHS requirements for Volunteers and helping to maintain a safe work environment for both NHVA volunteers and local staff.
- Collation of information packs.
Working Hours: 8.30am to 12.30pm and 11.00pm to 3.00pm
