Corps Programming - Sunday School Teacher - Youth

A Sunday School Teacher has the responsibility for the
preparation and presentation of the weekly SS lesson to their particular
class. Each teacher should gear their lesson to the understanding
and receptivity of their age group. The SS teacher should also take a
keen interest in their students and contact them in their absence and
for milestone events (birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc.). The SS
Teacher is expected to inform the SS Superintendant if they will miss
a Sunday and to procure someone to substitute for them. Other duties
are: proper record keeping of class attendances, setting and cleaning
up of classroom, assist with SS openings as needed, and class participation
in special events. The underlying desire and purpose for the
Sunday School Teacher is to help students to develop into fully devoted
disciples of Christ, as well as functional and productive members
of the Corps and society.
