Corps Programming - Van Driver
Activity Summary:
As a vital part of daily operations, The Salvation Army runs programs and services that often require the transportation of goods, food, or individuals to various locations throughout the Whiteside County area. As a Corps Van Driver, you will safely operate the vehicles under direct supervision of the Corps Officer.
This position can be flexible. We need someone to commit to approximately 5-10 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- Ability to lift 30lbs
- Passion for helping
- Experience and comfort in driving
- High energy, poised demeanor and friendly disposition
- Ability to relate to and work with diverse populations
- Reliable, organized and hard working
- Pass initial screening process and MVR screening process
Policies:
Due to the population, Volunteers need to be willing to undergo a background check and initial screening process. Once they have passed, they will need to complete our Safe from Harm online training within 90 days of starting.
Alcohol, drugs and smoking are not permitted at any Salvation Army Facilities or volunteer site.
Clothing must be respectful as you will be representing The Salvation Army.
