We are Volunteer Powered! Volunteers have been the driving force of our organisation since it began in 2015 and continue to be the foundation on which our organisation grows. Our Treasure Boxes Volunteer family play such a crucial role in offering their skills, energy, and commitment without expecting anything in return. What Is the Process of Becoming a Treasure Boxes Volunteer Step 1: Complete an online application form (using the “Fill In an Application” button - top right-hand side of this page) Step 2: Your application will be assessed by the Treasure Boxes Team
Step 3: Training - you will then be asked to complete a suite of online training modules
Step 4: You will then be booked in for a Buddy Shift (to work with another volunteer to “shadow” them in their role)

General volunteers sort, safety check and pack donated items. All volunteers will be inducted as a general warehouse volunteer. After 4-6 shifts of rotating through different positions you will then be able to decide which area of the warehouses you enjoyed the most.

This role is heavily customer service focused. You will be the face of Treasure Boxes and greet our donors with a warm friendly smile. We receive donations and items must be assessed before accepting them. |

Volunteers will safety check large nursery furniture including cots, change tables, bassinets, car seats and prams. All items will need to be cleaned and assessed before sending out to our families. |

We run a beautifully presented children’s op shop on site in Edwardstown. Volunteers will be required to maintain the presentation and stock in the Baby Boutique. Interact with customers and process sales using a Eftpos machine. Full training is provided. You must commit to one 4hr shift per week – positions are limited. |

Use our company van to deliver goods to our families, pick up donations and run errands. You must be able to drive a van with a trailer. You will be required to have a current driver’s license, a National Police Clearance with no driving offences and complete a minimum of 4 shifts with an experienced Treasure Boxes driver. You must commit to one 4hr shift per week – positions are limited. |

Commitment If you can commit to volunteering a minimum of once every 2-3 weeks, this is for you!
Working Conditions Work autonomously and within a team environment. The temperature inside the warehouse is generally the same as outside. There is NO air-conditioning or heating in the warehouse.
Duty of Care All Treasure Boxes volunteers must be 18 years or over and hold a current National Police Certificate and Working With Children Check.
Volunteer roles at Treasure Boxes require a reasonable level of physical capability associated with manual handling tasks. These include sustaining movements of a repetitive nature, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting and turning. You must also be able to stand and walk unaided for extended periods of time.
