The Mission Grocer
The Mission Grocer stores provide options for healthy, fresh kai to our city community at low prices, with further discounts for those with community service cards, or food allowances through Work and Income. The goal is to ensure fresh, healthy food is affordable for all and to allow families to have greater food security at home.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to shop at the Mission Grocer - the more regular customers we have, the more we can make healthy food accessible for Aucklanders in need.
We have two stores - HomeGround, and Albert Park.

Activities Include:
- Keeping shelves stocked of fresh produce, freezer full of ready meals, and shelves full of groceries
- Keeping the store clean and tidy
- Assisting Customers with bagging, choosing, prices, and payments
- Using the EFTPOS machine and handling customer payments
- Creating a welcoming and inviting community. We want to foster a regular community to our grocer alongside regular volunteers to build these connections
Parking: Please note that there is no onsite parking available. There is paid parking in the city. Where possible we recommend using public transport due to high traffic and high parking costs in the city.
