Food Service Assistant (Boston Road, Grafton)
Assisting our food team to pack food parcels and distribute to clients.
Days Available: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
*NB - The Foodbank does not open on Public Holidays
Shift Times: 9.00am – 12.00pm & 12.30pm – 3.30pm
Activities Include:
- Packing boxes of food, filling orders, packing fruit and vege bags, stocking shelves, tidying and organizing workstations and areas, breaking down of boxes, and wheeling trolleys to cars of people receiving food.
- Reasonable level of physical fitness required, some heavy lifting up to 20kgs and working on your feet.
Requirements:
- Minimum volunteer age is 18 years to participate in this activity. This is largely due to the role being more client facing and working in a busy warehouse.
- All volunteers must complete a criminal convictions check before beginning on shift.
- Please note that we cannot provide volunteering in relation to community services hours, or those with current/active charges.
- This is suitable for groups of 2-3 volunteers at a time.
