Lloydminster - Jubilee Home - Pet Visitor Provider

To enhance the resident's quality of life by providing entertainment in the form of a demonstration, show or petting zoo.  Volunteers must ensure the animals are under control and/or contained at all times.
 
Transport animal to/from the facility, bring required supplies (water dish, waste bags, etc), clarify assigned visitation list with rec staff prior to visiting. Ensure hand hygiene between each resident/pet interaction, and pet waste management. Pets must always be on a leash, be groomed, have nails cut, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Animal waste management plans must be in place (i.e. indoors - notify housekeeping, outdoors – pick up solid waste)
 
Provider volunteers provide mental, social, emotional, and physical stimulation to residents
  • Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with visitors and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines as well as hospital and department policies.
