This position allows volunteers to share their music, art, and skills with the clients in the Adult Day Program. This will bring joy, cognitive stimulation, and engagement to clients. Entertainment provided will elevate mood, reduce stress, stimulate memory, assist with pain management, enhance communication skills and promote social relationships

 

Provider volunteers provide mental, social, emotional, and physical stimulation to residents

Group choirs, bands, individual piano players, piano/guitar recitals, performances, dance groups, school entertainment, old time dancing groups, hymn sing, story tellers.

 

Shifts vary dependent upon group availability:  

• Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with visitors and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines as well as hospital and department policies.
