Lloydminster - Jubilee Home - Youth Volunteer (Ages 14-17)
The Youth Recreation Ambassador volunteer assists with various activities at the site. They encourage residents' participation in activities. Recreation Ambassadors are the extra pair of "helping hands" that add to the trained services of the Long-term care facility staff, working together to enhance the lives of residents.
The Volunteer Ambassador will assist with recreation programs that are facilitated by the Recreation Therapy Department. These include but are not limited to: bingo, seasonal parties (ex., mother's/father's day), manicures, seasonal outings, assisting with gardening, baking programs physical activity games (ex., bowling, outdoor walks, horse races, etc).
Various days\ time available Monday - Friday morning or afternoon (9:30 am - 4:00 pm) Can be arranged directly with the Recreation staff. If you are between the ages of 14-18 and would like to volunteer in the Jubilee Home, please apply!
- Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with visitors and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines as well as hospital and department policies.
