Special Events - Turkey Pick-Up
Hope Clinic will pick up 150 turkeys from our local Meijer on two separate days. Volunteers will help load the turkeys into their vehicles, transport them to Hope Clinic, and unload them into our freezers.
Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and enough vehicle space to transport up to 40 turkeys. The turkeys are packed in boxes of 4, with each turkey being between 12-15lbs each. Each box weighs between 55-70lbs, so sturdy arms are required!
Turkeys will be picked up from one of Ann Arbor's Meijer. Details of pick up will be sent week before!
Qualifications Required
- Ages 12 and up
- About You - How much weight can you safely lift? Must be at least 50lbs
