Why should you volunteer for the Shire’s Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery?

Volunteering at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery offers in many instances new experiences in a cultural setting, new friendships, and a chance to contribute to a thriving arts community. Volunteers work individually and, in a team, alongside staff on their specialised portfolios, immersing themselves in the exhibitions, programs, events and community. Key attributes for volunteers include reliability, enthusiasm, and a passion for art and culture. Training ensures confidence in the various different streams of volunteering at the gallery.

“Volunteering has made quite a difference to my life, especially now in my later years, because I would spend a lot of time at home if I wasn’t doing this volunteering. I just love to be out driving and, being with other people, helping people, wherever I can.” Shirley Green
