Consumer Participation Working Group
‘Have your say: how consumer voices should inform Heart Foundation work'
The National Heart Foundation of Australia (Heart Foundation) is developing a Consumer Participation Framework to guide how we partner with the people and communities we serve, including those with lived experience. This work supports our ambition to make heart health achievable for everyone in Australia by 2050 (Health for Every Heart).
The framework will outline our purpose, principles and goals for working with consumers, and provide practical guidance for collaboration across areas such as governance, program design, evaluation, advocacy and service delivery.
To help shape this framework, we are inviting consumers to participate in a series of workshops. This is an opportunity to share your perspectives and help influence how the Heart Foundation engages with consumers into the future. Your input will help ensure our approach is meaningful, inclusive and informed by the communities we serve.

How to apply
To put forward your interest in this opportunity, please fill out this form by Sunday 3 May 2026.
The form includes a range of questions. Your responses will help us learn more about you and others who are interested in participating, so we can bring together a range of experiences and perspectives in the workshops.
While there are limited places available in the workshops, the information shared by everyone who completes this form will also be used to inform the workshop discussions and the development of our Consumer Participation Framework. This means, even if you are not selected to attend a workshop, your voice will still help shape the outcome.
If you have any questions, please contact us at volunteer@heartfoundation.org.au. We’re happy to respond by email or arrange a call. If you’d prefer a phone call, please let us know the best time(s) to reach you.
