Welcome!
Kitchen Volunteers help our kitchen manager prepare food for our senior meals! Volunteers may be asked to cut, sort, or pack food and sandwiches. Aprons, gloves, and hairnets are provided for volunteers use in the kitchen. We ask that all kitchen volunteers dress comfortably and wear closed toe shoes!
Volunteers that help assemble snack bags will place 6-9 items in a bag for our homebound seniors, the homeless, and children and their families in need. The bags consist of a variety of items such as a breakfast item, a caring note and a drink! Volunteers are asked to wear closed toe shoes and be prepared to stand for the duration of your shift. Volunteers are also asked to clean up and restock their bins at the end of their shift.
Sort & Pack volunteers help out on our assembly line. They help package our dry goods and frozen meal boxes that are distributed to homebound seniors and throughout the Philadelphia community. Please note the warehouse can be warm during the summer so dress comfortably! Sort & Pack volunteers will need to wear closed toe shoes.
Office volunteers help our staff out in the office. Volunteers will help sign in our pantry partners and may be asked to work on spreadsheets, sort papers, or other miscellaneous tasks.
To provide food and friendship to seniors, kids and adults in the 5-county Philadelphia region.
