Thank you for your interest in the Volunteer Programs at the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital and the Royal University Hospital. 

If you are applying to be a volunteer with the No Baby Unhugged program at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital. At this time we are experiencing a high volume of inquiries regarding this program so please read the following points:

 

  • All applications MUST be completed online by visiting www.saskatoonhealthregion.ca and selecting <Join Our Team> followed by <Volunteers>.

 

  • Please note that this is not an application to volunteer with the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF). To volunteer with JPCHF, visit www.pattisonchildrens.ca.

 

  • Once your required application is submitted, you will receive an email indicating that your application has been received.

 

  • It may take several months to process your application. Applications are processed in the order they are submitted. Please avoid contacting Volunteer Workforce to inquire about the status of your application during this time.

 

  • Volunteer vacancies are filled by factoring in availability, interest and mutual fit. Successful applicants will be contacted when a suitable position becomes available.

There are various other volunteer position available to sign up for on your application.

  • We do not recruit volunteers under the age of 18
  • We ask for a six month commitment and a minimum of 40 hours
  • Attend an interview
  • Volunteers must provide three letters of reference
  • Have current criminal record check - a letter will be provided for the this
  • Complete four on line modules
  • Attend a Saskatoon Health Authority General Orientation and a Role Specific Orientation
