Children’s Program Support Assistant
Do you enjoy working with children? Have an interest in arts and crafts? The XX Branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County seeks a volunteer to serve as Children’s Program Support Assistants. Children’s Program Support Assistants are essential in our branches to provide assistance to librarians as they prepare for and offer programming for our young patrons. Typical work includes craft preparation, cutting out shapes and projects for story time, and working with children during activities.
Responsibilities: Assist Children’s librarian with craft preparation and during program presentation; assist with room set-up and clean-up after programs
Necessary skills and qualifications: Interest in working with children; arts and crafts oriented; attention to detail; neatness; knowledge of basic library operations
Requirements: Minimum age 18 years old; Ability to lift and carry materials; Ability to reach, bend, and stoop to reach shelves; Completed application; Interview; Background check
