Madisonville Branch - Program Support
Position Overview:
A great opportunity to connect with the community, gain experience in event support, and contribute to a vibrant library environment!
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the Madisonville Branch library programs and events for various age groups. Volunteers will help ensure a welcoming and engaging experience for participants by providing support during scheduled programs. This includes moving tables, chairs, and equipment for set-up and clean up.
Available Program Support Roles:

Youth Program Support (Ages Birth – 12): Assist with children’s programs by creating a friendly and fun environment, guiding participants, and helping with activities as needed.

Teen Program Support (Ages 13 – 19): Engage with teens during library events, providing encouragement, assisting with activities, and helping foster a positive atmosphere.

Adult Program Support (Ages 18+): Support adult-focused programs by welcoming participants, assisting with activities, and helping maintain a comfortable and engaging space.

Senior Program Support: Provide assistance during programs designed for older adults, helping participants feel included and ensuring they can fully engage in activities.
Ideal Candidates:

Friendly, reliable, and comfortable assisting with activities and engaging with participants as needed.

Enthusiastic about supporting library programming for diverse age groups.

Able to follow directions and work collaboratively with library staff.
Time Commitment:
Volunteer shifts are scheduled based on program dates and typically last between two and three hours. Our regular Youth, Teen, and Senior programs are weekday late mornings, afternoons and after school. Adult programming is typically Monday- Wednesday evenings.
