Blue Ash - Chess Club Volunteer
The duties of volunteers include setting up before the beginning of the club, greeting new and returning players and their parents to explain how the club works, handing out some basic chess information, collecting email addresses for our email list, helping players find other players to play, and putting the equipment, tables and chairs away after the meeting is over. Knowing how to play chess isn't strictly required, but it is helpful to have someone who can teach new players how to play, play chess with kids who ask, provide hints or answer questions about rules, and sometimes provide some coaching advice. Again, while being able to play chess is helpful, there is still a lot to do even if you don't know how to play chess. Times needed are on Tuesdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
