Do you enjoy working with the public? The Northside Branch of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library seeks individuals to serve as Bilingual Program Support Volunteers. Bilingual Program Support Volunteers are essential in our branches to provide assistance to librarians as they prepare for and offer programming for customers. Bilingual Program support volunteers help to translate during library programs for customers who speak English as a second language.

Responsibilities: Assist librarian with program preparation and with various tasks during program presentations; cover books; clean books; make copies; assist with room set-up and clean-up before and after programs; translate for patrons at programs, assist patrons with translating their questions to branch staff.

Necessary skills and qualifications: Interest in working with public; ability to speak Spanish, attention to detail; neatness; additional skills may be required depending on program type

Knowledge of basic library operations is preferred.

Monday - Saturday 2:00-3:00 pm or Tuesday 4:00-6:00 pm
