Join District 4 Park Commissioner Marc Laver in partnership with the city of Sacramento's Department of Youth Parks & Community Enrichment (YPCE) for a hands-on morning caring for Universal Universe at Southside Park - a playground designed for children of all abilities. 

Tasks may include:

• light cleanup
• disinfecting play equipment
• refreshing/ leveling sand 
• tidying landscaped areas

All tools and supplies will be provided. 

Volunteers are encouraged to dress for the weather in closed-toe shoes and to bring reusable gloves if possible.

Coffee and Donuts will be provided for volunteers. 

Youth groups and students can get credit for volunteer hours by participating in these events.
