RAIN OR SHINE!
Join Sacramento Council District 3, Re-Wild Sacramento and the City of Sacramento's Department of Youth Parks and Community Enrichment (YPCE) for a fun and rewarding morning of planting trees. Together, we will plant approximately 15 new trees in the park.
Volunteers will help clear pre-dug holes, plant and stake the trees, add mulch around the bases, and even have the chance to name the trees they've planted.
What to bring:
- Work gloves
- Closed-toe shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing you don’t ming getting dirty.
“This planting event is part of Sacramento’s Equitable Urban Forest project, which is funded by an Urban and Community Forestry grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service in partnership with GreenLatinos.”
This free, family-friendly event is open to everyone. No experience is necessary - Our team will demonstrate proper planting techniques to ensure success.
All are welcome - come plant a tree and leave a legacy!
