At South Health Campus, patient experiences mean everything—and volunteers are at the heart of that impact. We’re looking for friendly, compassionate individuals to join our Rock Art Program, where creativity becomes a bridge to healing and human connection.
As a Rock Art Volunteer, you’ll support patients through meaningful social interaction and help them create beautiful, personal works of art using specially prepared rocks and fun, vibrant art supplies. This unique role blends creativity, empathy, and hands-on care.
💬 What You’ll Do:

🎨 Assist patients with rock painting and other small creative projects such as drawing, or other craft driven activities.

🗣️ Provide warm conversation and companionship to patients and their families

🛏️ Offer ice water and blankets to help ensure comfort

🧹 Help with setup and takedown of art supplies in the unit nutrition area/or patient rooms

🤝 Work closely with staff to create a calming, joyful atmosphere on the units
🕒 Volunteer Commitment:

One 2-hour shift per week

Shifts available 7 days a week from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Located on Inpatient Units at South Health Campus
