One-to-One visits / Visites Un-pour-un - Visites Amicales / Friendly Visits

Description

Some residents sometimes want a little conversation or a nice moment with someone and that’s why we need the help of devoted volunteers to do friendly visits. Going out in the garden, taking a coffee in the Kildare Lounge or simply playing a card game can represent so much in a day of a person that needs stimulation or a positive presence. A weekly visit from a volunteer could change the mood of a resident. So, if you have a little bit of free time and you want to socialise by doing a positive action for the community and for a resident in our home, the friendly visits are your chance to bring joy to some people who need company.

Volunteer Role

Throughout the visits you could be asked to go out in the garden, to go in a resident’s room to meet them, to go in the bistro or in the Kildare to talk with your assigned resident(s). It depends on the different needs that your assigned resident has. Your only role is to provide a good and interactive moment with your resident, to socialise with him. You will make a great difference in the day of our residents and that’s the goal we want to reach!
