WMICC Recreation Volunteer - assistance with portering to programs, socializing, 1:1 visits, emotional and visitation support, games & craft assistance, assistance with Fleury outings with residents
Shifts vary Monday to Friay, mornings and afternoons
Provider Volunteers will provide stimulation and relaxation, through talking, listening, singing and socializing within a group. This will help to calm the residents body and mind and bring joy to their day.

Associate Volunteer positions are relational and provide value added care for residents through meaningful engagement and service. This role is more independent where the volunteers have a central point of contact but may conduct their volunteer services independently. Interactions may occur in areas with limited visibility or infrequent support by a paid employee.
Programs take place in a variety of settings, activity room, dining room, residents room and outdoors.

Volunteers may assist with set up and clean-up of various programs, as well as assisting residents to and from the activity area. Volunteers will assist residents in a variety of activities, which include: bingo, exercises, music and sing - along, reading, visiting, reminiscing, crafts, coloring, puzzles, special events.
The Provider Volunteer will provide stimulation and relaxation to residents through talking, listening, singing to music and socializing within a group. This volunteer assists in encouraging socialization, promoting reminiscing and providing opportunity for cultural interaction.
