Walk - Victoria - Walk - Committee Member - Fundraising Lead
Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the committee, fundraising toolkit (to be provided) and Kids Help Phone staff to develop a fundraising plan and targets for team recruitment and sponsorships

Engage personal and committee contacts

Identify prospects for sponsorship and employee engagement; target businesses and community groups

Work with communication lead and staff to promote mailings, social media, visits and phone calls

Make presentations and follow-up calls to potential corporate and other teams

Assist in the recruitment of fundraising volunteers for planning and event day

Monitor recruitment and fundraising progress

Communicate with team captains/champions both before and during the event

Organize a Walk kickoff event (if necessary)

Assist staff to thank all supporters leading up to and after the event

Start planning engagement early in the fall for next year’s Walk
Qualifications

Experience in fundraising is an asset
-
Motivated to support Kids Help Phone’s mission and vision
-
Strong creative ability to recognize fund development opportunities
-
Strong organization skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects

Excellent team and interpersonal skills
Commitment
-
Approximately 10 hours per month, with hours increasing leading up to the Walk (April-May)

Monthly meeting attendance

Responsibilities outside of meeting time

Must be able to attend the Walk on the first Sunday in May (approximately 9 hours)
