East County Library: Resume Help (age 18+)
Do you have skills in advising job seekers with their job search? Have you worked in human resources or other settings that include resumes and hiring? We are looking for volunteers to provide resume coaching and feedback for job seekers. Volunteers will provide resume help during 30 minute sessions at the library.
Location: East County Library, 475 NW Division St., Gresham, OR 97030
Time commitment: Two hours on Tuesdays between 12 and 8 pm for a minimum of six months
Tasks & Responsibilities

Welcome and interact with library patrons

Provide feedback on resume and job search related questions

Coordinate with library location staff to provide services
Skills & Qualifications

Have a professional background or related skills around resume writing, HR, job searching

Be able to provide professional, friendly, customer service oriented help to patrons

Use discretion and uphold patron confidentiality and privacy

Age 18 or older
- Ability to fluently speak and read English
- Ability to pass a criminal record check. Results of the records check will be reviewed on an individualized basis. A conviction is not an automatic bar to volunteering.

Training & Other Requirements

Online orientation with library staff.
- Onsite orientation and review of volunteer program policies and procedures.
- Complete online training modules.
- Review all volunteer policies and procedures.
- Wear your name badge while volunteering.
- Log time spent volunteering every shift.
- Communicate with staff when you aren’t able to volunteer.
