Troutdale Library: Craft Program Facilitator (age 16+)
Calling all experienced craft enthusiasts! Craft Program Facilitators welcome patrons to the group and provide support. This program is working with adults and seniors. The craft program will be a time for community members to connect, learn a new skill and have fun.
Available shift: Sundays, scheduling is flexible based on volunteer availability.
Time Commitment: At least one Sunday per month, with 1.5-2 hour shifts, for 6 months or more.
Location: Troutdale Library, 2451 SW Cherry Park Rd, Troutdale, OR 97060
Tasks & responsibilities
- Research options for a specific craft
- Collaborate with library staff to select a craft and needed supplies
- Welcome patrons to the group
- Guide patrons to complete a specific craft project
Special skills & qualifications
- Patient, friendly, welcoming of all ages and skill levels
- Moderate to advanced crafting skills
- Independently research craft options that stay within a financial budget and time restriction
- Collaborate with library staff while planning
- Ability to troubleshoot basic craft challenges
- Be knowledgeable about various craft resources
- Ability to work independently to facilitate the group
- Age 16 or older
- Preferred: Bilingual speaker of Spanish and English

Training & other requirements
- A volunteer application must be completed before becoming a volunteer.
- Site orientation and review of volunteer program policies and procedures.
- Wear your volunteer badge and fill out a timesheet every time you volunteer.
