Environmental Enhancement - Plant Friends Action League

"The Plant Friends Action League"

The Plant Friends Action League will serve as a key support team for our ranger staff, regularly assisting with the removal of nonnative species and the installation of native plants. These efforts may be carried out independently, depending on the task and training. This group will be our go-to crew for all things green and growing—providing dependable, hands-on help wherever chlorophyll needs a champion!

Volunteers may also contribute to seed collection, native plant propagation, and nursery-based projects. If we can, we’d love to explore opportunities to cultivate beneficial fungal allies as part of our restoration efforts—bonus points for mycorrhizal magic!

Duties Include
- Removal of nonnative species
- Installation of native plants
- Tending to our native plant nursery

- Collecting and propagating native seed and beneficial inoculum

*Please note
- Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and appropriate, comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting ripped or dirty.
- Bring drinking water, hat and sunscreen as the events are held outdoors.
- Check-in is required prior to starting your duty.
- All events are scheduled to take place outdoors and may be subject to cancellation in the event of rain, excessive heat, or other adverse weather conditions.
