Emergency Disaster Services - Basic Salvation Army Disaster Volunteer
This basic level is open to those who have completed the Introduction to The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services class. This course is designed for new disaster workers who have limited disaster experience and who have just begun their association with The Salvation Army's emergency disaster services program. The course provides participants with an overview of The Salvation Army's mission and its role within disaster work. Participants will also be taught how to prepare and equip themselves for a disaster deployment. Available in Spanish.
Once the course in complete, volunteers have access to additional course work for more advanced disaster services. Completion of this course also allows volunteers to sign up for disaster relief shifts in local, regional, or even national events, with the local command's approval.
