Town of Wasaga Beach

Youth Grill Team Volunteers work under the supervision of the Youth Centre Assistants who provide direct  supervision of the Grill Team Volunteers age 12-18 years of age.

Purpose: 

Participate as a member of the Youth Centre Volunteer Grill Team and Mascots at Town of Wasaga Beach Special Events;

Help serve popcorn, cotton candy, drinks, and other food at grill team bbq’s and events. Assist as Mascots at Town Special Events, including Santa Claus Parade, Funderland, Snowman Mania, Music in the park and other events when required.

Tasks

• Help with the sale of grill team food
• Help with providing customer service
• Work alongside with other grill team members
• Help with cashing out customers
• Help with clean-up of grill team tent
• Dress as mascots during Town Special Events

Qualifications:

Minimum age 12-18 years

• Comfortable serving food
• Friendly and outgoing
• Works well around others
• Consistent and reliable
• Available during the week and weekend
• Safe Food Handling Certificate Considered an Asset

Training:  Orientation, training will be provided
