Refugee Health Program Volunteer

Support refugees to get settled in their new community and access key services and resources.  Work with the Refugee Health Program team in one of three important roles: MyGov Set Up Support, Public Transport Support or Material Aid Organiser.

MyGov Set Up - We all know using MyGov and accessing Medicare and Centrelink online can be a big challenge. Imagine what that is like if you have just arrived in the country, have some language barriers and no family or connections to help out! If you use MyGov online accounts, have got a bit of a handle on the system and want to support our newest community members this is a volunteer role made for you!

Public Transport Support - Are you a master of Miki, a pro with PTV planner, do you know your way around the western suburbs by public transport? You may be the ideal person to help a newly arrived refugee or asylum seeker get to key health appointments by public transport.

Material Aid Organiser - We are looking for someone with great admin skills, confidence with online ordering systems and basic delivery logistics to help the Refugee Health Program team get material aid and relief packages to our refugee and asylum seeker clients.
