IPC Health is the community health service for the western suburbs of Melbourne. We operate from six campuses - Deer Park, Altona Meadows, St Albans, Sunshine, Wyndham Vale and Hoppers Crossing providing a huge range of health and wellbeing services and activities.
IPC Health volunteers are involved in many different ways from greeting people at the front door, to helping out in well being activities or participating in community consultations, right through to vital back of house admin and logistics roles.

Our Reception Concierge Support Volunteers are the first point of contact for our visitors and clients.
You will support clients, families, carers and visitors in the waiting rooms of IPC Health’s campuses. This may include helping people fill out forms, helping people find their way, assisting with basic personal needs such as getting a glass of water or finding the toilets, ensuring all clients are given a mask to wear, and helping distract children while waiting for an appointment.
You will work closely with our Client Services staff to ensure each client's reception and waiting time is a good experience
Ensuring waiting rooms are tidy and welcoming and helping Client Services staff with basic admin duties when the waiting room is quiet.
To be eligible for this role you must:
Agree to a Police Check organised and paid for by IPC Health.
Have a current Working with Children Check specifying IPC Health as your place of volunteering
Provide a record of your vaccination history or evidence of immunity for:
Provide photo ID
Get involved in developing and delivering a program of events, activities and resources to empower young people as ambassadors for change in behaviour and attitudes towards gambling harm in young communities.
Meet with other Young Leaders twice a month (Tuesdays 5.30 -7.30pm) to plan and learn. You will receive training and support continuously throughout your volunteer journey.
To be eligible for this role you must:
Be between 18 and 25 years old and live work or study in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
Agree to a Police Check organised and paid for by IPC Health.
Provide a record of your vaccination history or evidence of immunity for:
Provide photo ID.
Provide a current Working With Children Check nominating IPC Health as your volunteering organisation.
Support the People and Culture team with the smooth operation of administrative functions such as data entry and recruitment activities to support our people and partnering initiatives.
Data entry assistants will be required to complete Privacy Awareness for Australian Government Agencies; Cyber Security Incidents General Awareness; Risk Management Part 1/2/3 online training modules.
This a work from home role with some onsite meeting from time to time as needed.

Support refugees to get settled in their new community and access key services and resources. Work with the Refugee Health Program team in one of three important roles: MyGov Set Up Support, Public Transport Support or Material Aid Organiser.
MyGov Set Up - We all know using MyGov and accessing Medicare and Centrelink online can be a big challenge. Imagine what that is like if you have just arrived in the country, have some language barriers and no family or connections to help out! If you use MyGov online accounts, have got a bit of a handle on the system and want to support our newest community members this is a volunteer role made for you!
Public Transport Support - Are you a master of Miki, a pro with PTV planner, do you know your way around the western suburbs by public transport? You may be the ideal person to help a newly arrived refugee or asylum seeker get to key health appointments by public transport.
Material Aid Organiser - We are looking for someone with great admin skills, confidence with online ordering systems and basic delivery logistics to help the Refugee Health Program team get material aid and relief packages to our refugee and asylum seeker clients.
Help out at our super fun exercise group binGO MOVE. A social exercise group that uses bingo games to trigger an exercise, song or movement. Getting people moving with music, games and lots of laughs!
If you are willing to have fun and join in while providing high quality support to IPC Health clients and the binGO MOVE Team during the group sessions, you will love this one!
Sessions are weekly on Mondays 10am -12.30 at IPC Health Hoppers Crossing or on Thursday 10am -12.30pm at IPC Health Altona Meadows. Altona Meadows sessions start Feb 2023 and Hoppers Crossing sessions are on now.
You will help set up and pack down the room, mix with the participants, run the bingo wheel and even play DJ sometimes!
