The Adopt-a-Garden program helps us keep the grounds well maintained and  tidy year round while engaging  community members in the joy of gardening. We hope you feel a sense of progress and pride in your work here.

As an Adopt-A-Garden Volunteer, you will carve out time in your schedule to visit regularly to maintain a particular garden, weeding and trimming as needed. When you adopt a garden to care for as your own, we don’t want you to feel that the garden has to be perfect! This is a partnership. It is always the horticulturist's responsibility to keep the Arboretum gardens and landscape maintained, but each time YOU work in your adopted garden you are helping Staff achieve that goal at a higher level.
