Royal Agricultural Society of NSW

Register your interest to volunteer at the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show

Event Dates:  22nd of March - 2nd of April 2024

Location: Sydney Olympic Park

First held in 1823, the Show is Australia's largest annual ticketed event, attracting over 850,000 attendees on average. The RAS invests over $9 million annually in competitions and programs that support sustainable agricultural development and educate the community about food, fibre and farming.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a celebration of Australian agriculture, from our rural traditions to our modern day lifestyles, providing unique experiences for everyone. Every Easter, the country and city join together at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, for twelve days of agricultural competitions, animal experiences, live entertainment, carnival fun, shopping and much more.

Thank you for expressing your interest for the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show Event Volunteer Team. Our Event Volunteers are one of the Show’s most valuable assets, and we truly appreciate your support. Our program exists to make the Sydney Royal Easter Show a safe and enjoyable experience for all Showgoers, and to provide you with the opportunity to engage, excite and educate.

Volunteer Interviews:

NEW VOLUNTEERS
All candidates who are new to our program should expect a call from our team to discuss your involvement. Don't be shy, it will take a few minutes, which is a chance for us to get to know each other and tell you more about the program. All interviews for NEW volunteers will take place throughout February and early March 2024.

RETURNING VOLUNTEERS
We are always so excited to welcome back so many familiar faces to the Sydney Royal Easter Show volunteer program! If you have volunteered with us at the 2021 and/or the 2022 and/or the 2023 Sydney Royal Easter Show, you will not be required to be interviewed.

Volunteer Inductions:
Sydney Royal Easter Show will be hosting online inductions for both new and returning volunteers. If you are indicated as successful, all volunteers will be required to complete the mandatory WHS e-induction, and/or training modules before you will be able to confirm any of your shifts.

Uniform Collection:
All volunteers will be required to wear the official SRES volunteer uniform. Successful volunteers will receive further information about uniform collection in the lead up to the Show.

Eligibility:
To be eligible to volunteer at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, you must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

WWCC:
If you are 18 years or older it is a requirement that you have a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). The WWCC is free for volunteers and is valid for five years.

If you need to apply for a WWCC on the Children's Guardian Website Click here

We encourage you to submit your interest early as Sydney Royal Easter Show reserves the right to close the Application Form earlier than listed should an overwhelming response of candidates be received through Better Impact.
