About the B.C. Wildlife Federation                                                                                                        

For nearly 75 years, the B.C. Wildlife Federation (BCWF) has been at the forefront of wildlife conservation, habitat restoration, and outdoor education in British Columbia. Our mission is to protect, enhance, and promote the wise use of the environment to benefit present and future generations. Our origins date back to the 1890s when volunteer conservationists established fish and game protective associations that formed the basis of some of our current member clubs.

As an Invasive Species Removal volunteer, you'll be crucial in restoring the local ecosystem, giving native species the chance to flourish and reclaim their natural habitat.

Shifts Available                                                                                                                                        

Requirements                                                                                                                                          

• Anyone under 14 years old is required to be accompanied by adult supervision
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks
• Please bring a pair of work/gardening gloves. We will also be providing these, but have a limited amount to give out
• Please dress in weather-appropriate clothing (e.g. sturdy footwear, rainwear, robust pants where you can kneel on the ground)
• Please bring a water bottle
• Have reliable transportation to and from the event location

Time Commitment                                                                                                                                   

Each posted shift is 3 hours long; however, volunteers will have the flexibility of deciding how many shifts to sign up for.
