
How to apply to be a Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) Master Gardener Volunteer for the Central Shenandoah Valley:
As part of the application process an interview is required. Applications will be opened mid-July through August. Interviews will be conducted the first three weeks of September. Once your application is received, an email will be sent to you to schedule the interview
If accepted, an initial payment of $150 (checks only) must be received by the end of September). An additional $100 will be paid directly to the state office via an online program and your credit card. Grants may be available if financial need is demonstrated. Inquire at csvmga.vol.coor@gmail.com

Policy
Extension Master Gardener programs are volunteer programs that train individuals how to effectively volunteer in assisting the public in the field of gardening. These individuals utilize the information they learned during their training, as volunteers who identify, diagnose, advise and educate the public on gardening and horticulture.
