Garden Ambassadors welcome visitors, provide wayfinding assistance, and direct visitors to daily and seasonal happenings at the U.S. Botanic Garden. This assignment is stationed at the USBG Conservatory, within the welcoming areas of the Terrace, Lobby, Garden Court, and information desk (please note that no parking is available)

Training Provided:
Discovery Cart Facilitators engage with fun plant science topics in ways that spark curiosity and connect visitors to our collections. This position is stationed at the Conservatory (100 Maryland Ave SW, Note: Parking is not available).
Note: Trial shifts for prospective Discovery Cart Facilitators will be available in May 2023.
Time Commitment: at least 2 shifts per month
Training Provided:
Episodic volunteers serve in a wide variety of roles at the Garden on an intermittent or short-term basis. They support all teams at the Garden with activities including:
Time Commitment: Between 2 and 6 shifts per year
Training Provided: All volunteers complete an online orientation. For most activities, no additional training is required or provided. Some activities have an optional training opportunity in advance.
Location: Most activities are located at the U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory at 100 Maryland Ave SW. If they take place at another location it will be clearly indicated when you sign up for the activity.
