Ambulatory Clinic Volunteer
In this role, volunteers will support the needs of the Ambulatory Clinics by providing wayfinding and hospital navigation services.
The volunteer will check in with each ambulatory clinic at the beginning of the shift and be prepared to support patients, families and visitors to the hospital.
Visiting a hospital can be a difficult and overwhelming experience. Wayfinders help by navigating the hospital, providing directions and support to patients, families and visitors. Wayfinders must be comfortable approaching visitors as they enter and exit the facility. Wayfinders should also be physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time and be comfortable pushing a wheelchair to assist if the need arises.
