STOP-IT Program - Drop-in Presenter
DESCRIPTION
This position is ideal for an individual who has a special skill, gift, or talent (s)he would like to share with our youth at the drop in center, a social group that meets on a weekly basis. It will require an individual to develop a one-time (or multiple session) presentation to be given during the second hour of Battle Angels and present the session to the girls in attendance on the scheduled date.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and organize at least one single session presentation to be given at drop in.
- Bring all necessary materials to conduct session with the youth present in the group.
- Attend the entire time designated by the Youth Development Manager for the date on which scheduled to present.
REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to engage in public speaking.
- Ability to arrange transportation to be present for the agreed upon time.
Hours: A minimum of one two-hour session and completing all pre-session preparations required for the presentation.
Additional Requirements: Must be at least 19 years old.
Prior to participating in this function within the STOP-IT team, you will be required to complete the following:
- Volunteer application
- Background Check
- Interviews with Youth Development Manager and Volunteer Manager
