STOP-IT Program - Drop-in Presenter

DESCRIPTION

This position is ideal for an individual who has a special skill, gift, or talent (s)he would like to share with our youth at the drop in center, a social group that meets on a weekly basis.  It will require an individual to develop a one-time (or multiple session) presentation to be given during the second hour of Battle Angels and present the session to the girls in attendance on the scheduled date. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Plan and organize at least one single session presentation to be given at drop in.
  2. Bring all necessary materials to conduct session with the youth present in the group.
  3. Attend the entire time designated by the Youth Development Manager for the date on which scheduled to present.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Willingness to engage in public speaking.
  2. Ability to arrange transportation to be present for the agreed upon time.

Hours:  A minimum of one two-hour session and completing all pre-session preparations required for the presentation.

Additional Requirements:  Must be at least 19 years old.

Prior to participating in this function within the STOP-IT team, you will be required to complete the following:

  1.       Volunteer application
  2.       Background Check
  3.       Interviews with Youth Development Manager  and Volunteer Manager
