Purpose and Goals:
The St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center is proud to partner with the several universities to allow for social work students to complete their practicums at the Center. Our practicum is available for students who are looking to be a part of both our Children’s After-School Program and our Adult Education Program.
What will I do as practicum students?
- Students will work with clients one on one and in groups in tandem with a task supervisor to fulfill practicum hours
- Students will work with practicum instructors to fulfill their necessary class work
- Students will gain skills necessary to become successful future social workers
What qualifications do I need?
- Currently enrolled in an accredited BSW or MSW program
- Able to work one on one on site with clients
