Reading & Recording Program - Reading/Record for the Blind at BSA offices
Volunteer readers schedule a 2-hour shift to work with clients at BSA's downtown office.
Reading for the blind can include:
- Reading print materials such as books, magazines, and other materials.
- Reading mail and other paperwork. Assisting with forms, applications, bill pay, and the like.
- Simple correspondence.
- Reading online, as well as other Internet tasks such as shopping, assisting with email correspondence, applications, and the like.
- Accompanying the client to stores local to BSA to assist as a Sighted Guide, and to help where reading is concerned. (Volunteers reserve the right to decline excursion/shopping assignments.)
Recording of books and other printed materials.
