Support Programs - Read for BSA Short Selections
Volunteers sign up to read, and optionally lead a brief discussion, for our clients each Monday at 1 pm on our conference line. Volunteers select the work to be read. Group attendance is normally 6-12 participants. We ask volunteers to take attendance.
Types of selections you may choose to read:
- Literary Short Stories
- Essays and memoirs
- Excerpts from longer works (as long as there is a completeness to the selection.)
- Works in serial form (requires ongoing commitment and agreement of a substitute or backup reader in order to ensure the series is completed. Contact the Volunteer Manager for this option.)
- Poetry
