Role Specification
The Schools Library Service is a subscription service open to all primary phase schools in Barking and Dagenham. We are based at Valence Library.
One of the main roles of the Schools Library Service is to provide Curriculum Support Loans to schools.
Each loan consists of up to 30 books and a storage box. At the end of each term approx 200 loans will be returned, this is where we need help
Each book needs to be scanned back in using the library computer system, and then shelved. The work is quite physically demanding, you will need to be able to lift and carry quite heavy boxes and move freely around library shelves. We may at times have other tasks that we could ask you to do but this will be the main one.
This role is only open to applicants aged 16 years old or over.
