Role title: Recovery Support worker
Dept: CGL Drug and Alcohol Service
Sites: Dagenham Road, Dagenham
Responsible to: Volunteer Coordinator
Role purpose:
To support the service in delivering emphatic, non judgmental advice and support to clients suffering from Alcohol or substance misuse issues.
Main activities:
To assess new clients and signpost and give harm reduction advice
To liaise with experienced recovery practitioners and clinical team
To develop role to own interests within a diverse role
To record and share confidential information appropriately within the team
General administration duties such as scanning files and writing letters
To ensure your own professional development is progressed and evidenced
To gain experience in communicating effectively and sensitively with clients and other professionals
