FIRST UNITED processes thousands of income tax returns a year for low-income Downtown Eastside residents to enable them to access vital benefits. You don't need to be an accountant to support this practical and necessary work. A willingness to learn, some fluency in math and the ability to commit to a regular shift are the main requirements. Get in touch with the Volunteer Manager to ask about this volunteer role. Please note that starting Monday, July 20th, 2026 all Tax Clinic volunteer shifts will be at our new building at 320 East Hastings!
