One Kids Place, located in the Districts of Nipissing, Muskoka and Parry Sound, offers outpatient rehabilitation services with a wide range of programs and services to children and youth with physical, communicative and developmental needs. Screening, assessments, consultations and intervention services are provided as part of a multi-disciplinary team approach.
When you register with One Kids Place Volunteer Program, you become a valuable member of our team. One Kids Place runs a variety of specialized programming at each of our sites providing unique volunteer opportunities.
As a registered volunteer with One Kids Place, you will receive detailed information about volunteer opportunities from our agency as well as select community programs.

Volunteering Opportunities
Administration
Working within the Administration team relates to a wide range of assignments that assist with day to day tasks.
Tasks may include answering telephone enquiries, photocopying, filing, preparing mailing, data entry and other Administrative tasks.
Fundraising

One Kids Place participates in several major fundraising projects each year, including our annual Golf For Kids tournament, Italian Lunch and many others. We are always looking for volunteers with a variety of skills and abilities to assist in the coordination of these events.

Toy Washing
Volunteers assist with sanitizing and prepping therapy toys and tools for sessions. In addition, volunteers assist with organizing toy and resource rooms.
Sibling Care
Volunteers are often needed to assist with sibling care while caregivers participate in sessions with their child. Volunteers may also watch children while their caregivers are in parent meetings with therapists.
Therapy Prep and Material Prep
Volunteers assist with preparing activities and materials for therapy sessions. This may include preparing crafts and activities as well as gathering resources.
Therapy Support
Volunteers assist with therapy sessions as needed. This may look like being a play partner or taking data for therapists!
Support for Group Sessions
Volunteers often assist with preparation for upcoming groups as well as help to facilitate the group.

The MISSION of ONE KIDS PLACE is to provide community based rehabilitation and related support services for children and youth and their families living in the Districts of Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound.
The Centre defines rehabilitation for children and youth as a process which is centred on the child's strengths and potential. It provides an integrated range of services and supports which recognizes the changing physical, emotional and psychological aspects of a child's development.
The rehabilitation process involves the participation of families, the broader systems serving children (education, health and social services), and the wider community in assisting children to develop their full potential as valued and contributing members of society.
