Kickapoo Valley Reserve

The Kickapoo River is a gentle, meandering river flowing past diverse vegetation and alongside sandstone bluffs. Water quality of the Kickapoo has improved greatly over recent years. 
The KVR, along with a variety of organizations and businesses, have teamed up to provide red mesh bags to anyone canoeing or kayaking the Kickapoo River. Paddlers are asked to use it for their own trash and the litter from others. 

Organized cleanup days are scheduled throughout the year as well.  Volunteers with interest in keeping the river clean will be notified when organized opportunities are scheduled.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO VOLUNTEERS:  Each volunteer is required to have a current year volunteer agreement on file.  If you do not have the agreement on file, you will receive an error message that says "You are not qualified for this activity" when you try to sign up to volunteer for an activity.  Please go ahead and sign up for the volunteer opportunity that you are interested in and make sure you take steps to have a current Volunteer on file with the KVR prior to the scheduled volunteering opportunity.
