Citizen Scientist

Citizen-Based Monitoring the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, in partnership with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WI DNR) and other agencies, welcomes volunteers to help with various citizen-based monitoring (CBM) programs in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and throughout the region. Volunteer time commitment and level of expertise varies, but all programs are rewarding, fun, and educational (depending on how you define these words). These are excellent opportunities for the general public to participate with conservation efforts, contribute to scientific research, and to learn more of the environment. KVR staff and/or KVR Friends participate in the following programs. Visit the KVR Website for more information on specific Citizen Based Monitoring Programs

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO VOLUNTEERS:  Each volunteer is required to have a current year volunteer agreement on file.  If you do not have the agreement on file, you will receive an error message that says "You are not qualified for this activity" when you try to sign up to volunteer for an activity.  Please go ahead and sign up for the volunteer opportunity that you are interested in and make sure you take steps to have a current Volunteer on file with the KVR prior to the scheduled volunteering opportunity.

The Volunteer Agreement can be found here VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT
