Community Angel Sponsor:        Neighborhood Brigade of West Essex

First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell

Neighborhood Brigade has been a great asset to our community. As Human Services Director, I have been able to refer residents to Neighborhood Brigade in their times of need. I've had the opportunity to collaborate with this wonderful organization on a recent food drive benefiting the Caldwell Food Pantry. During the worst of the pandemic, Neighborhood Brigade's volunteers safely delivered hundreds of bags of groceries to residents who did not feel safe being out in public spaces. Since the West Essex chapter of Neighborhood Brigade was founded in 2019, they have assisted residents in times of crisis with much-needed rides to medical appointments and physical therapy treatments. And knowing that all Neighborhood Brigade volunteers have to complete a background check, I feel comfortable referring residents who are in need of help. Our community is truly fortunate to have such a wonderful network of volunteers standing by to take care of their neighbors!
