Jersey Battered Women's Service

Registration is now CLOSED for the 2018 fall training session.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with JBWS!  Volunteering your time is a great way to get involved, change lives, and have a positive impact on your community. Volunteers are critically important to JBWS as they help us meet our mission to prevent domestic violence through the protection and empowerment of the victim, the rehabilitation of family members, the advocacy for social changes to prevent partner violence, and the education of the public about domestic violence and its consequences. Domestic violence includes physical, emotional or sexual abuse as well as threats of the above.

In order to volunteer and interact directly with clients; interested individuals are required to complete a 40-hour, state-mandated domestic violence training program. This training is held twice a year; spring and fall.
